The Suns made some major changes to their roster this summer, but it seems as if they’re still working to bring back a team-first vibe to the locker room.
The Suns have had a couple of changes since the end of the season.
One of them was acquiring the services of former All-Star center Jahlil Okafor, a player the Suns had been trying to get out of Cleveland and New Orleans.
Okafos signing with the Suns was one of the more surprising moves of the summer.
The former Minnesota Timberwolves star had been traded to the Cavs in a deal that landed him with the Pelicans last summer.
While Okafort was a solid contributor in the mid-level exception (MLE) era of the NBA, he struggled with consistency and was often used as a bench player.
It’s not clear if the Suns have made any big changes to the core of their team.
Otafor is a much more interesting option than a big name player who has yet to get a chance to play.
Ookafos’ signing is an interesting sign of what is to come with the roster.
With the Suns roster still young, the Suns need to be prepared for a few seasons of uncertainty.
This could be a very interesting time to be a Suns fan.
